Interview with Madissen:
1. Which school have you decided to attend and why?
I will be attending Lake Superior State University. After a couple of visits and spending time with the team and coaches I felt like it was a good fit for me. The school also offers a variety of programs and I liked the small size and location.
2. What other schools did you consider?
The only other school besides LSSU that I considered playing for was St. Thomas University. My Team Wisconsin AAU coach Richard Schiell is coaching there and would have liked to continue playing for him. I was impressed by the school athletic facility.
3. What are your goals for the 2013-2014 school season?
My Goals for this season is to make it to the State Finals tournament with my LHS team, and personally getting the most points in our schools history.
4. How long have you played in the Team Wisconsin program?
I have played with Team Wisconsin for 2 years.
5. What were the benefits of playing with Team Wisconsin?
Team Wisconsin was able to offer a competitive program and exposure. I have also met some new lifelong friends and have many great memories.
6. What was your favorite Team Wisconsin memory/experience?
Over the past summer I had the opportunity to travel to places like Las Vegas and Chicago and play the game of basketball. Those two weeks were definitely the highlight of my summer. I had such a blast with my team and I am thankful I had the opportunity to do that with them!
7. What advice do you have for younger basketball players:
My number one advice is work before play. Make your school work your priority and basketball your second priority. Play every day, have fun, work hard and set goals. If you stay focused on your dreams they will come true. Hard work pays off.
Congratulations Madissen, and best of luck in your season!

The coaches were always trying to help get players to the next level and prepared us for college basketball. I met so many people that will be close friends of mine for a very long time.
6. What was your favorite Team Wisconsin memory/experience?
Las Vegas tournament!! I had never been to Vegas and my team did so many fun bonding activities. We really got close as a team on and off the court.
7. What advice do you have for younger basketball players:
Always try your hardest!!! College coaches would take a kid that works hard over a kid with sheer talent. If you work your but off on the defensive end, offensive end, and in the off season, college coaches will notice!!!
Congratulations Lauren and best of luck in your season!
