Interview with Jasmin:

Which school have you decided to attend and why?

I have decided on attending Saint Louis University.  I choose SLU because I created an immediate connection with Coach Stone.  I was extremely impressed on how she coaches and goes about her program.  It was also a place that is headed in the right direction.  I want to be apart of a championship team and SLU can be that team.  I felt very comfortable on their campus and the girls were great people and we had a lot of fun on my official visit. Lastly, they have a direct admit physical therapy program.  Their program was very hard to turn down and very appealing.

What other schools did you consider?

I also considered Northern Illinois, UW-Milwaukee, Youngstown State, and University Minnesota.

What are your goals for the 2014-2015 school season?

My goals for the 2014-2015 school year is to be a leader and push the team to be their very best every single day.  I also want the team to take top three in the Wisconsin Valley Conference and make it to at least the second round of playoffs. Lastly, I want to become West's highest scoring player and be a leader that no one on the team forgets.

How long have you played in the Team Wisconsin program?

I have played for Team Wisconsin for 2 years and they were the best two years of my life.

What were the benefits of playing with Team Wisconsin?

The benefits of playing on Team Wisconsin were that I was put in situations that allowed me to play at the highest level possible and show off my abilities in front of college coaches.  They gave me the best chance to become a division one basketball player.  They also provide some of the brightest basketball coaches around.  They are great teachers and find ways to showcase your true ability.

What was your favorite Team Wisconsin memory/experience (on or off the court) and why?

My favorite memory was traveling all around the Midwest and playing some of the best players in the nation.  Also, I will never forget beating North Tartan Nike EYBL at their home tournament and then winning it all.  It was a great way to cap off my AAU career.  I loved spending time in between games with my teammates.  We had so much fun all the time.  I created so many great bonds, and it is super cool to watch them go to their own colleges and watch them play and grow as a player.  Except I miss my teammates (sisters) about two weeks after the season.

What advice do you have for younger basketball players.

The best piece of advice I could give is to work your butt off in the gym when no one is watching and when you are on the court in a big game, it becomes second nature.  The more you play the better you will be.  Lastly, do not be afraid to push yourself outside of your boundaries and not fear making mistakes.  The only way to improve is to fail and learn from that.

Congratulations to Jasmin and the Billikens!
